Support Haiti by donating….

Sprout Design Studios has donated to Dr. Paul Farmer’s Partners in Health program and we encourage you to do the same. To donate, you can go directly to the site.
Today Haiti was hit by another earthquake… it is absolutely devastating- we have to reach out to our fellow humans in any way possible.
To find out more about Dr. Farmer’s decades long work in Haiti, we recommend you read: Mountains Beyond Mountains by Tracy Kidder.
In our thoughts and prayers,

Some more potential Sprout marketing concepts… feedback as always appreciated!
Everyone starts somewhere–
January 12, 2010 at 3:39 am , by Swenson
Everyone starts somewhere—and we are starting here. At times, it can be discouraging. Since we are just developing our business, we don’t have an established clientele to help serve as references. We are new at establishing connections, networking and making a name for ourselves. I assume most people prefer to go with a design firm who is more established. Therefore, I have to remind myself everyday that developing a business, a strong client list, impressive resume and phenomenal portfolio all takes time—that everyone has to start somewhere, and we are starting here.
And ultimately, I’m okay with that.

Introducing Client Tools
January 8, 2010 at 7:40 am , by Mack
Sprout is pleased to announce a new section “Client Tools” that is geared towards being another design resource for our clients. It is our hope that by continually updating client tools, our clients will come away from us with not only great design but an increased awareness and knowledge of design in business.
We hope you’ll enjoy this section and that it will continue to offer your business great additional design resources.

Here is our logo- a jack in the box with a sprout coming out. We think it’s neat, representative of us and obviously a valuable part of our marketing strategy. Since Sprout is dedicated to out of the box thinking and sustainable practice, we will be phasing out paper postcard marketing and opting for recycled potted sprouts. So… businesses beware. A potted Sprout-a-gram may be making it’s way to you (hand delivered in the greater Spokane area).

post a ninja?

I am carly, I am apparently a “poodlechop” who is severely lacking in my blog-post-ness. Therefore, here I am to make my delightful presence known. First, let me state–there is nothing “poodlechop” about me. I in no way resemble a poodle and/or chop, let alone both mixed together.
However–I am absolutely an aqua-girl to the point that it is ridiculous. My husband is still in awe of my ability to get water all around the sink, counter, and hand towel, as well as my talent for spilling water unknowingly onto myself (or others). In fact, after spilling an entire glass of water onto my keyboard, I decided that I should only drink from those straw-type plastic water bottles. I consider it the adult, more mature version of the sippy-cup. Although, that is okay with me, and I assume my computer appreciates it as well.
